Welcome

A Gift from the Marty and Barbara Luster
A hearty thank you to Marty and Barbara Luster for the donation of their 5' 7" Baldwin grand piano in mint condition. What a glorious addition to our auditorium!
A Gift from the Delavan Foundation
We send a BIG thank you to the Delavan Foundation for their generous gift of funds! Students, you're in for a wonderful treat: a brand-new stage and dance floor!

Our Mission Statement: The Trumansburg Conservatory of Fine Arts, Inc. (a/k/a TCFA) is a not-for-profit learning and performing school of the arts for people of all ages serving Trumansburg and the surrounding areas. It is our aim to teach, through the avenues of the arts, young minds to develop a discriminating taste for the fine arts.

Founder & Executive Director

Founded in 1982, TCFA began with one faculty member and 10 students. Today a faculty of 10 artists and musicians teaches more than 300 students -- both children and adults -- in a wide range of artistic endeavors. Some participate in classes scheduled on a semester basis, while others take individual lessons. The conservatory has evolved into a major asset for the community, and it enjoys the support of more than 350 members, donors and volunteers.

TCFA's home is a magnificent example of Greek Revival architecture. It was built in 1851 by a locally important architect, Daniel Elmore, as the First Baptist Church of Trumansburg. The building remained in the church's hands until it was purchased, in a dilapidated condition, by TCFA in 1982. The conservatory now owns the property and has made major renovations and restorations.

The conservatory building is also home to the Trumansburg Montessori School.
